General eSIM Information
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built directly into your device (smartphone, tablet, smartwatch). It works just like a physical SIM card but without needing a plastic chip. You can download a mobile plan directly onto your device.
After purchasing an eSIM plan (like from Syla eSIM), the profile is downloaded and installed onto your device. Your device can then connect to the mobile network associated with that plan.
The advantages include simplified management of plans, quick activation, reduced roaming costs, enhanced security, and increased flexibility without needing to handle physical SIM cards.
Absolutely! Most newer eSIM-compatible smartphones support Dual SIM, allowing you to use both simultaneously. You can choose which line is for calls/texts and which for data (like your Syla eSIM).
